Jens Riogeist Ph.D., L.Ac. is an acupuncturist and clinical nutritionist licensed in the state of Oregon. He has been practicing in Newberg, Oregon since 2003 where he resides with his wife and three children. Jens has always had a passion for science, which led him to earn his Ph.D. in Plant Pathology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he studied microbiology, cellular biochemistry and molecular biology.

After receiving his degree Jens shifted his focus to human health and Oriental Medicine. Jens valued the model of focusing on organ and/or gland interactions in the body, the movement of energy throughout these systems, and finding the root cause of dysfunction rather than suppressing symptoms. Jens’ extensive post graduate study is driven by a desire to find the shortest path to health recovery and maintenance for his clients.

Through his techniques Jens is able to support the body’s natural ability to repair underlying dysfunction and discover the nutritional needs required for repair. Jens uses acupuncture to work with the body, strengthening and balancing energy. His techniques also improve circulation and allow the body to heal itself more quickly and completely. In addition to acupuncture, Jens uses Autonomic Response Testing, a non-invasive and clinically proven system, to analyze the body and determine underlying causes of illness or chronic symptoms.
